I recently visited Sauna Macho in Brussels for the second time after a two-year period, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing, even pathetic. I want to share these details with the community to inform future visitors about what they can truly expect from this establishment. Firstly, the staff, especially at the front desk, stands out for their blatant lack of manners, rude behavior, and evident tendencies towards theft. The staff's attitude greatly contributes to an unpleasant and unwelcoming atmosphere. Hygiene leaves much to be desired. Slippery floors pose an obvious safety hazard to customers. Unpleasant smells persist in various parts of the establishment, creating an unpleasant experience. Sanitary facilities fall far short of expected standards. The showers are icy, the sauna is not at the right temperature, the pool is cold, and the jacuzzi is practically nonexistent. These conditions are unacceptable considering the excessive entrance fee of €29, which is a financial waste for such mediocre facilities. Moreover, the clientele seems to be mostly composed of prostitutes, the majority of whom I doubt are of legal age, contributing to an unhealthy and disrespectful atmosphere. Another problematic aspect is the mandatory cash-only payment, in flagrant violation of Belgian legislation. According to Article 1.8, 39° of the Economic Law Code, every business is required to accept at least one electronic payment method. This practice is not only illegal but also contributes to a negative perception of the establishment. Regarding drinks, I was shocked to encounter a billing issue at the exit. The drinks ordered were assigned to my locker number in the changing room, but I was asked more than double the actual amount to pay. This situation implies either deliberate dishonesty by the staff, potentially under the owner's orders, or a complete lack of control over locker numbers, allowing other customers to unduly benefit from consumptions. Due to these extremely negative experiences, I intend to have this establishment inspected by tax authorities. Additionally, I will file a formal complaint regarding the fraudulent payment system and misleading advertising. It is clear that Sauna Macho, under its current management, does not deserve to exist. I share this experience in the hope that other consumers are informed about the issues at Sauna Macho and make informed decisions before patronizing this establishment. Also, beware of fake positive reviews on Google; I noticed that some positive reviews mostly came from people frequently seen at gay events, regulars, likely friends of the owner of Macho Sauna.
