PHOTOS: Hollywood conjured queer music icons on Friday the 13th

On Friday the 13th, Los Angeles‘ creatures of the night descended on the Avalon Theater in Hollywood for “Fred and Jason’s Halloweenie.” Benefiting the local non-profit Project Angel Angel Food, the theme of this year’s party-with-a-purpose was “Rock Star,” summoning the spirits of such queer musical icons as Madonna, Elton John, David Bowie, and more.

For those who missed out on this night of naughtiness, we’ve snatched some of our favorite costumes of the evening. Happy hauntings, homos!

Halloweenie hosts Fred and Jason Arens evoking Yellow Submarine vibes.

And wherever Ozzy Osbourne goes, demons are sure to follow.

With all the 90’s gaybies in attendance, it’s not surprising that Guns n Roses was a popular choice this year.

This Axel Rose was a solo act.

Another popular costume this year was the late great David Bowie. Here’s actor Brian Dare as the Man Who Fell to Earth.

There was also this tribute to the Aladdin Sane album cover.

In the words of Elton John, “the bitch is back.”
