PHOTOS: LA Leather Pride looks that make us say ‘Thank you, Sir!’

Thank you, sir! May we have another? Queer Angelenos finally got another LA Leather Pride after two years of patiently waiting to come out and play. Dubbed Dark Angel, this year’s week-long fetish festival climaxed in the annual Mr. Los Angeles Leather Contest hosted at the iconic Catch One nightclub. For those that missed this carnival of k*nk, we snatched these images of Dark Angel spreading its proverbial wings, as well as some other body parts.

Meat and Greet

On Thursday, the Mr LAL competitors, like Colton Stenke aka Mr Eagle LA Leather 2020 (above), converged on the gayborhood of West Hollywood for a meet and greet with their fans.

Joey Byrne, the reigning Mr. Eagle 562 Leather 2020, hit the step (and repeat) and werked its Dark Angel wings.

Mr. Los Angeles Leather Bear 2020 Alan Gabriel, posing above with a friend, leaned into his cubby cuteness by donning a leather loincloth.

The event wasn’t just about the contestants, but also their fans within the leather community, such as Chris, Eric, and Aric (above).

Spunky Monkey

While LALP primarily caters to the Bears and Cubs of SoCal, WeHo hottie Bryan Hansen served some simian sweetness on the venue’s monkey bars.

Learning the Ropes

Then Bryan indulged in some bondage fun with local GrILF Sir Ian.

These May/December boyfriends are named Steven and Austin. When asked their names, the Daddy quipped, “Like the Million Dollar Man,” while his leather baby added, “or like Stone Cold Steve Austin.”

UP NEXT: Mr. Los Angeles Leather Contest winner

This year’s Mr. LAL hopefuls: Colton Stenke, Romyn Lemuerte, Francisco Perales, Joe Clopton, Joey Byrne, Christian Medina, Alan Gabriel, and Angel Rincon.

Q&A(ss)

During the Q&A round, emcee Jeremy Oliver-Roncero’s stashed his questions for the contestants in his back pocket. So, yeah, he was pulling those questions out of his @ss.

The Smell of Success

Colton indulged the olfactophiliacs in the audience with this k*nky stinky pit sniff.

Nip it in The Bud

Joe, on the other hand, preferred to tease the crowd with a bit of nipple tweaking.

Angel of the Night

The winner of this year’s Mr. LA Leather mantel was Angel Rincon, Mr. Sister Leather 2020, infusing the competition with some fabulous femme energy. He literally put the Angel in Dark Angel.

Bullet with Butterfly Wings

Angel wasn’t the only winner of the night. Michael Lara, owner of The Bullet Bar, received the Jim Neuman Humanitarian Award for his instrumental work with the LALC Food Pantry during the pandemic.

The titular Jim Neuman spread his wings in front of a Tom of Finland-esque mural.

UP NEXT: Runner-up and honorific mentions

Thank You, Daddy!

A large debt of gratitude needs to be paid to Gabriel Green, seen here backstage after the competition, who dommed this year’s  LALP as the event’s producer.

Giving Head

Second runner-up Romyn was also backstage, posing with a giant cardboard cutout gifted to him by a fan.

Raining Cats and Dogs

Calypso Jette, one of the performers of the evening, channeled the legacy of Eartha Kitt, Halle Berry, and Zoe Kravitz with her fierce feline look.

The kitty couture continued with this strap-tastic ensemble served by local cat Midnight.

SoCal twink Alex canine cuddled Pup Toby and Scritches.

 Sister Act

Sisters KumonaWanna Leila and Caryn Soul evoked the classic French masterpiece Gabrielle d’Estrées and One of Her Sisters. For those who skipped Art History 101, here’s the original for reference:
