Just because is pink does not mean gay
Full of loud straight people, but that is to be expected inside the Hard Rock Hotel. Service was acceptable, good. Food, decent. But I had what probably was the worst margarita I've tasted in my life.
The right choice once again
We have been coming for a few years and the place delivers every time. The staff is very friendly and accommodating (including Tom, who is portrayed in other reviews in ways unknown to us). The rooms are clean and cozy - on one trip our room had some unexpected issue and we had to be moved, actually upgraded at no extra cost to one of the suites, with a phenomenal extra service. There are two beautiful heated pools, one more quiet, another more social. The steam room and hot tub are also a great spot to hang out... And there are always nice guests to interact with - just don't judge anyone. Sad that the sauna is gone for good but they keep renovating in upgrading to keep a fresh look. And now they not only offer breakfast but also dinner and lunch on weekends. We have been to other PSP resorts but this one is still the best choice. We will definitely be back.
Arguably the worst B&B we've ever been
It's been yeas but I see not much has changed. When we stayed, there was a straight couple... with kids! (in a gay B&B, really?) And breakfast was a 'family' event, we HAD to be at 9am at the table to have breakfast with everyone else... Odd. And, yes the owner was rude.
Two more words: Never Again.
Hilton prices, Fawlty Towers experience. DO NOT GO THERE. New Orleans is a blast, we'll go again, just not to that hotel. So not worth the price. First of all, Southern Decadence is an invasion of gays, however we run into only two more gay couples, the rest was very very straight. So not so much a gay hotel. The staff was correct, nice, I guess they were trying, but obviously just not professional. We asked for two keys for the room. Only got one, the second one did not work and we could not get it replaced through the three day stay despite asking for it several times. The pool, small and not heated, but fine. The "hot" tub is lukewarm, at most. The floors in the room were mopped everyday, but clearly with the same water they were mopping every room, not exactly clean water. The nice, large sun deck, only had two chairs to lay down and tan, one of them broken! 4 of the 9 light bulbs in the room were burnt. And worst, the dresser in our room was BROKEN, not only useless, but looking at it gave the feeling of a total dump (you can see a picture) All this for $170 a night.!!!! Really? DO NOT GO THERE. NEVER AGAIN
Good
The owners and staff were great, friendly and knowledgable. The rooms, wonderful, big, tasteful, and clean. The rest of the clientele was varied and nice. Only one regret. It's small, only 9 rooms, so depending on how many rooms are used, it may feel very lonely.
Just that. Not great.
Maybe we picked the wrong weekend? Depending on staff (some temporary, the best). Bored. Really. The rest of the residents were lame. Maybe Palm Springs is not the place to get a winter break, but no matter what, it will take a lot to convince us to go back to the Inndulge.
