the Quebec or 'the Elephants' Graveyard'

Love the Quebec! have been coming here for over 20 years and find it to be the friendliest bar in London;the bar staff are cute and helpful, the regulars in colorful and chatty, and the downstairs bar is like walking back to the 60's !![careful of the low ceilings, have almost concussed myself on more than one occasion!]The one drawback is the increase of largely Romanian rent boys, but they aren't persistent and are quite easy on the eye ,and the regulars seem to treat them with bemused acceptance. On the plus side,I have met lots of younger men who are genuinely attracted to older guys, and not just looking for a Sugar Daddy ! Also, this bar is largely attitude free which is more than can be said of lots of other bars in Central London, and is easy to reach[1 min Marble Arch tube].Great pub for just sitting in comfortable surroundings, with music at a comfortable level, and watching an interesting mix of people pass by !
