Overrated

Was there on a night pass during President's day weekend when you think it would have been busy. It wasn't. Just a few mainly older and out of shape guys hanging around the dark room.

great hotel

Awesome rooms and good location within walking distance to Hillcrest bars and restaurants. Very gay friendly. The Friday evening gay event on the roof top is very popular with the locals.

needs major renovations

The place really looks like a dump. Must have been great about 40 years ago but looks like nothing's been done to it since then. Not even the carpets have been replaced. Nor the staff for that matter. Having said that there is enough action and mixed clientele to fulfill one's needs.

still has a lot of potential

It was very quiet when we were there, just after the President's day long weekend, but we could see the potential, if busy. The set up is much better than at All Worlds. The hot tub at the back is great as is the steam room. The room too was clean and comfortable. Seemed to have been renovated recently. With a bit more upgrading could become one of the better resorts.

Nice for a relaxing holiday

Nice rooms, great heated pool, impeccable grounds, youngish crowd. Very low on sexual energy but great for chilling around the pool.

Let your fantasy run wild. Huge place with lots of possibilities.

waste of time

This is probably the most depressing bathhouse I've ever been to.

Went there on a Friday afternoon not expecting much, but was I in for a surprise. It was 'naked' theme, no towels around your waist. Just naked hung men! Had an amazing time.

Truly one of the best bathhouses in Europe.

action packed

Contrary to the name, appealed to all sorts of men. Lots of action in the two back rooms when I was there on a wednesday night in August.

no longer 'splash'

Was sold to low cost chain 'Fit for free'. No longer very gay. Most gays have switched to Splash at Leidseplein or to other gyms.

Open again and better than before

Dirty Dicks reopened in summer 2011, but since The Eagle (same owner) reopened in April 2012, Dirty Dicks is now an afternoon bar (4-10 pm) Mon-Thu, and on to 4am on Fri and Sat. Haven't been there weekday afternoons but weekend nights fairly busy and quite sleazy.
