Joe DeCola, 66. News Guy, Traveler..rolling stone.. loving life and the experiences it brings me..writer, documentary filmmaker, traveler, reporter. Interests? life, people, politics, change, science, the stars on a clear night, human expression and love. Favorite kinds of people? generous spirited types trying to live an ethical life..who love to dance. Most amazing travel experience? lying in a sleeping bag under the New Year's Eve stars in the Hindu Kush mountains of Afghanistan. Traveling with Mujahids (modern day Talibs?) through a country nearly permanently torn by war. it's not possible to write an "All about you" paragraph. Most importantly because we're always different, always changing, moving on, leaving behind, learning the new, forgetting the old, it's called being alive.
food too heavily sauced
ordered a fish soup which was delicious with lots of varied seafood. the Spanish Shrimp however, with plenty of shrimp was just drowned in a heavy, overly fat-loaded sauce. nice wine list
compact, but well equipped, cute, friendly owner/mgr, David
clean, well equipped, good layout, appreciate the A.C. and the free, filtered drinking water. David, the owner/mgr, is adorable and hopelessly straight, Alas. but friendly and open hearted.
splendid dining
great location, on the beachside walk. excelent asian chicken salad. good margaritas... if you don't want to be pestered by strolling peddlers, sit away from the beachwalk. good service.
a civilized place
sometimes you might like to have a conversation with someone..."Getting to Know You"" it's called.....this is a good place for chat in P.V....drinks o.k., sometimes the music is good, and it's a comfortable place where you can hear each other well enough to actually talk!
from Bears to Bingo
friendly non-scene bar.. neighborhoody, relaxed and unpretentious. Bear events on some Sundays, Bingo(in English) every Tuesday night lef by the ineffable Ms. Windy Mills...She sings (lipsynchs) great songs by the Kinsey Sicks
