What a Dissapointment

I've stayed at the Elysium before, and it had always been a clean, reliable, reasonably priced place to stay with a friendly staff and fun guests. It had been a year since our last visit, and wow did things change for the worst. We were 3 guys sharing a 2 bedroom suite, but they only had 2 keys for the room. The room sleeps 4 but only 2 keys. We were not shown to our room and had to find it for ourselves. The room was dirty and bare. Not a single picture on the wall. Just off white walls, ceiling, tiles. The bathroom had no towel bar (you can see where there had been one that broke and was never replaced) and the toilet didn't flush properly. The list of issues goes on and on: window blinds had no wand to open the slats, some drawers on the dresser had no knobs, the smoke detector had been removed, the television in the bedroom did not work, the second bedroom had no windows or air conditioner, the dining table only had 2 chairs (remember the room sleeps 4). In the morning we learned that the free continental breakfast they offered in the past, was no longer offered. When someone asked about the temperature of the pool they were told they no longer heated the pool. The manager did not want to hear any of our complaints and had a nasty attitude. This was not the same property we stayed at in the past. We suffered through our 2 night reservation, but cancelled all future reservations. I will never be staying here again and I encourage anyone planning a stay here to reconsider.
