Not great
Where to begin? Weak cocktails, very smokey, and a piano player that believes the harder you hit the keys the better. on the upside, the crowd, which is on the older side is very nice and fun. and the waiters are great. But it could be a lot better...
A pleasant place for brunch or dinner
While known more for it's drinks and dinner, I enjoy this place for breakfast or brunch. it has a nice outdoor patio with views of the ocean. The breakfast food is pretty American, but still delicious.
The first stop in the morning
If you need a little caffeine and something sweet like a cinnamon role, an almond croissant, or a breakfast bagel, this is a great first stop in the morning. The coffee is good, the service is great, and it's street side patio allows for some great people watching. And the tables are so close, you might find someone to join you at the blue chairs, which is just a few blocks away. also two computers with internet access for customers
great authentic mexican food
tucked away in the center of town is this great authentic mexican restaurant. yes, it's a cab ride away, and otherwise you will likely not find it, but it's well worth the trip. Try the mole!
pricey but not to be missed
Just returned here and the food is as good as ever... The highlight is eating right on the beach. The pork tenderloin with goat cheese is not to be missed. This is also a great place for breakfast. Try the french toast
my favorite meal
my second visit was even better than the first. this family owned and operated restaurant (mom and son is the cook, another son is one of the servers) really excels in delicious food. two styles of sea bass are both great. it's a half hour walk or quick cab ride from the los muertos beach area, but it is well worth it.
great for lunch or brunch
right next door to the abbey hotel is this great breakfast, lunch, or brunch spot (depends what time you want to get to the beach). No views here, but a great garden patio, awonderful, friendly, attractive servers and delicious food. Try the chilaquiles.
don't miss it
just returned to des artistes after a few years, and it is as good, if not better than ever. make sure to request a seat on the outdoor patio. the sea bass and the butterfish are highlights and the tuna sashimi is great starter. the will definitely be your most expensive meal in PV, but it is well worth saving for. Great service too
perfect place to start the day
Every city needs a gay coffee house, and this is it, though house may not be the right word. it's an indoor cafe that opens up onto a great outdoor courtyard.
who knew this was fun
not sure what happened, but the change in name seems to have helped. this place is a lot of fun sunday afternoons and early evening
delicious
located in the center of town, trio is really a top notch restaurant, though expensive. the ricotta spinach ravioli is a great way to begin, then seafood or beef to follow. if you have a big party reservations are definitely required
really good food
this is located in the center of town, also great food, nice waiters. start with the pear and brie quesadilla and move on the to sea bass.
great food
if you are looking for authentic mexican food with a flair, check out this place. reasonably priced, great service, and great food. went with 10 people, not a bad entree among them
not bad
the rooms here are basic and can be hit and miss depending on which one you get. and often times for the money you can do better. the best thing to say about this place is it has a beautiful swimming pool, though not heated, and it's located just up the hill from the blue chairs
a perfect end to a hot day at the beach
the only thing better than a sunset in pv, is being with old friends and new friends to see it. this is a great place to meet people, after a day at the beach. the mixed drinks are ok, the beer is better bet, the go-go boys are the best choice of all.
Nice Alternative
If you are looking to get out of the castro for a drink, this is a nice alternative. friendly crowd ranging in age from 20's to 40's, plus pool and pin ball.
FRENCH TOAST TO DIE FOR
if you love french toast is over the top, check out Luna Park. Though known for dinner, this place has some of the best french toast on earth, with berry compote and mascarpone cream... also great the chilaquiles... and if that is not enough calories, make sure to start off with the warm goat cheese fondue!
Cafe Edwige-Don't Miss It!
If you have time for just one meal in Provincetown, Cafe Edwige is the place to go. Year after year this is the best food in town. Start with the tuna tartar and move on to any main course that suits your fancy. This place is not to be missed. I also suggest making reservations
Great Food and Waiters
Few will argue with the fact that this place has some of the most beautiful waiters in town. But the food is delicious as well. And the location is great, perfect before or after the theater
disappointing
i used to love this place while visiting new york, very trendy, big, 2 levels, cute guys... but the last two times i have been, they have had "talent" shows with screaming drag queens. i love a good drag show, but this was far from entertaining and made it impossible to talk with anyone
nice
good space, bar seats and couches, nice mix of guys, a bit dark though especially if you really want to see who you are meeting, though, sometimes i guess, it's better in the dark
great place
great mix of attractive guys, perfect midtown/hell's kitchen location, not to noisy, easy to talk to people
fun place
great place to dance, especially on oldies night.. also a great crowd
