Old fashioned neighborhood pool hang out!

The 19 is a dump. It's old, stinky, and just not nice. The regulars are a funky mix, most everyone is nice, even the way overly loud lesbians usually dominating the pool tables. But, as long as my darling pal Nate, is serving me my Coronas, all is well. The 19 has the smokiest smoking area of any bar I visit. I am not a smoker but, I do check out all areas to see who is there, ;-) . I'll always go back to the 19 as long as Nate is there!

Low key spot, great location, average food, below average service.

I stopped at the Wilde Roast one day for lunch last week for my first time. It has been recommended by friends as a nice place to eat, quiet, and friendly. As was most everybody else in there at the same time as me, I was working on stuff for my job, laptop, phone, and paper spread all over my table. Much to my surprise, I had to submit my order and pay at the counter when arriving, I was given a sign for my table, and later a person from the kitchen brought my lunch. I didn't get my drink until I was done eating and then had to ask for it. Anyway, it is a lousy way to serve the customers and therefore, I'm not sure I'll return, at least for lunch.

A great winter get-away!

Though the business is old and decrepit, it is clean. I have only used the basement areas and enjoy it a lot. generally good guys there and for the most part not too pushy. I bring books to read and school work while there. In between studying and reading, I sauna and/or play!
