Great Quality Denim and Cashmere
When people ask me where to buy great jeans for a great price the first place that comes to mind is Uniqlo. Their high quality Japanese denim comes in all washes and styles from acid wash skinny jeans to a dark wash bootcut. The best part is most of their jeans are under $100 and the store offers free hemming. Recently I snagged a great pair of bootcut jeans for $20 on super sale. Also, I highly recommend their cashmere as well as other basics.
Authentic and Unpretentious Thai in Hells Kitchen
I came here with a friend for lunch and the quality was as consistent as it always is. We had the Massaman Curry , the fried curry puffs and beef Pad See Ew. All three dishes were excellent and very reasonable. The total bill was about $15 a person. I'll keep coming back here whenever I'm in the area and in the mood for good Thai food. Also, the portions were so generous that I took home leftovers and had a whole other meal for dinner!
Boston's friendliest 24 hour Diner
The chocolate chip french toast and blueberry pancakes filled us up in more ways than one at this diner conveniently located 1 block from South Station. We needed a place to kill several hours in between our bus arrival and ferry to Provincetown. When we arrived around 430-5 AM and our super firenldy waitress, Liz greeted us and told us we could sit anywhere. She was very friendly and even gave us directions and advice about navigating Boston by foot! The meal and her warm personality really hit the spot.
Five Star Indian in DC's Penn Quarter
Really amazing and well presented Indian food can be eaten here. We did not have a sought after reservation, but we arrived around 530 and grabbed a table in the more casual dining area which has the same menu. I highly recommend the 30 dollar pre theatre menu. I especially liked the perfectly tart sev puri appetizer and the smokey tandoori salmon. Our server was excellent and inobtrusive and knew just the right time to refill our wine glasses. Overall an amazing experience at one of DC's nicest designed and flavorful restaurants.
Amazingly Affordable Thai in Cobble Hill
This place keeps getting better and better on subsequent visits. I would give 5 stars, but their mojito this time wasn't quite the right combination of stiff and sweet. We had the duck spring rolls with mango and mustard, beef satay and the special salmon in basil sauce with green beans. OMG the salmon was TOO DIE FOR. I'm still thinking about it. The duck spring roll was also a nice combination of duck, cilantro and dijon mustard with a sweet dipping sauce. I really recommend anyone to try from their specials menu as I've always had good luck with those.
Dance Ten Looks 3
"I also swiped my dance card once after an audition, and on a scale of ten, they gave me for dance: TEN, for looks : THREE!" -Chorus Line Tomoe is definitely dance ten looks three if you know what I mean. The toro tartare was amazing and melts in your mouth. The spare ribs were also a hit as was the very fresh sushi and chicken skewers. Don't be fooled by the bare furnishings.
