An important place
This friendly bar is surprisingly attitude free given it's Soho location. The target of a bomb 'in' which several people died, the memorial to them is a bronze sculpture which is suspended from the ceiling 'in' the bar.
This place is like stepping back to Britain 'in' the 50s 'in' a sweet provincial village. The best tea 'in' London, and great for celeb spotting. Also very gay
attitude free, fun eastend bar
I've been coming here for years. Unpretentious, friendly, some hot guys. The longest running amateur strip is held every Wednesday night hosted by the inimitable Sandra. the area is actually quite safe, the club being on a main road next to Limehouae station. It's nice to go to a place that is attitude freehand where you're almost guaranteed to strike up a conversation.
Love this place. Can get a bit touristy and mixed, but had rapidly become a London institution.
Overpriced, hostile mixed crowd, indifferent staff
