Sunday is the best here! Everything that was on special throughout the week is on special on Sunday!
Sunday Happy Hour is now till 7:30pm and only gets you $1 off cocktails. $2 domestic beer / $3 Import all day.
Daddies
This bar used to be called Daddy's and has kept that same clientele. The drinks are some of the most affordable in the Castro including a $2 Miller Lite draft. The staff is friendly and underwear night on Mondays can get a bit crazy. If you are under 30 the only reason you would end up here is if you are bar hopping with older friends. The best way to describe this bar is it's the Folsom bar type crowd in a Castro bar.
Either dead or too packed to move
This place when busy (aka Monday, Wednesday, and weekends) is so packed that you can barely get to the bar. Combine the small packed space with some people actually trying to dance and even a non closterphobic person will feel a bit cramped. During the week they have a good 2-4-1 happy hour that runs later than most Castro bars, but you will find yourself inside with maybe a handful of otter people on it's non-peak days. Wednesday make sure to somehow make it to the very back of the club for your photo to be taken for Booty Call Wednesdays. They have a different backdrop and props every week. Great for your next Facebook profile pic
The Regular's spot
This place is truly a mix of everything the Castro has to offer. Every stereotype can be found here on almost everyday of the week. Go to the back patio and you will find the loyal regulars smoking and drinking after they get off work till around 10. Get there before happy hour ends at 7, as they've recently up'd the prices and are one of the more expensive bars in the Castro now. The same $2 Miller Lite you got at 440 will run you $5 here outside of Happy Hour.
Not Badlands 2 more like The Alternate Mix
This bar/club is owned by the same owner as Badlands so the drink specials are about the same, but the crowd is more akin to the people you will find at The Mix. There is often a little something or someone for everyone here, but try to avoid it during weekdays as it tends to be far less busy than on weekends. Overall one of the nicer and cleaner bars in The Castro, plus for the smokers there is a patio out back where you can order a drink and light up.
