When you have a rush for sweets this is the place.

Have driven by many times since my favorite local spot on Haines Rd. closed. Such a variety to choose from, it's hard to decide. Saw the red velvet and looked no longer. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for; Deliciousness!

Not Like It Used To Be!

This bar has gone through many changes and names through the years. It had a fine resturant off and on and always went for their Maryland crab cakes; not even sure if they serve food anymore. Has always been a mixed crowd tending to favor blacks. When I visited B-more last fall, it seemed to be mostly afro american crowd and as a caucasin felt uncomfortable and not wanted in the establishment. Not a favorite place to hang anymore.

Not like it used to be!

I come to DC. once a year in the fall on business and for the past 5 yrs. keep going back hoping it will get back to some semblence of the old days. Went on a Thurs. night @ 11:30 PM and there was me the two bartenders, who were very friendly, and only two other customers. Left in 45 mins. drinking my beer very slowly hopeing for some improvement. That's it for me not even worth the cab fare from the hotel.

Not Like The Old Days But Always A Fun Time!

Been coming here for over 15 yrs. and always have a fun time; great drinks for the price, friendly bartenders, and wide assortment of patrons. Have always gone there as I love ethnic men, but felt a bit of attitude last week for the first time last week. Maybe because I'm not as HOT! looking as I was 20 yrs. ago. But seemed the younger crowd upstairs mostly black were only into black guys. Crowd was more mixed in age and ethnic bacgrounds downstairs; a few nice friendly latinos, but they didn't speak much english. Bartenders are always friendly and try to make you feel welcome when they get any time to talk. Will still be back when in DC. next month.

A Place For Past Memories..

This was the place to be 10 yrs ago, when Barefoot bar was directly across the street. People would go back and forth and down on the beach; sex happening everywhere. All types; jock, drag queens, hustlers,older, younger and in between. NO MORE!! Was there a few weeks ago and bartenders have attitude, lousy drinks, and not gay friendly at all. Still some action on the Bch. mostly hustlers and druggies looking for money. Still worth a drink at sun set and a trip down memory lane. Don't know how the place stays in business.

Been coming here for at least 20 yrs. Yes an older crowd and the local young boys who like them. ( guess what that means ) Friendly staff, great drinks and Mattie, the owner, knows the boys are safe to be with or they don't get in.
