Loved it

We had dinner here during a quick visit to Philly. We stopped in without a reservation, but they were kind enough to fit us in. Our server was young and inexperienced, but friendly and eager. We loved the food -- and we thought prices were very reasonable. We'll be back the next time we're in town.

Not at all welcoming

The website for Blow Buddies says they welcome tourists -- which is not true. Although they're probably not welcoming to locals, either. We've been before, and had an OK (not great) time. This trip, we got stopped at the door by the very unfriendly doorman, who -- as he was reciting the very long list of "no-no's" -- told my partner that he'd have to remove his sweater (with nothing underneath). This knee-jerk type of dress code is just plain silly -- so we turned around. If they don't want our business, we're happy to go elsewhere.
