A little out of the way, but good facilities
This is a little hard to find. Easiest way is to find Zal Si Puedes Bar at the Hotel San Jorge and go down the hill to Fernandez Juncos Avenue. You'll see a gas station with 24 hour minimart. Go one block on the same side of the street and find the address (there is a sign shop on the first floor) - ring the bell and go upstairs. Good mix of facilities, friendly staff and like any bathhouse, depends on the night and the mix - but usually there is a good number of guys, so have fun!
Great choice in Arts District near Tia Maria
This is part of the Planet Fitness chain, so if you have a black card you can use anytime. 24 hours weekdays, less on weekends.
Good Budget Hotel near bars.
This is a small, budget hotel in the same building as Zal Si Puedes bar and a few blocks from XTeamworks. 7 min walk to Jirafa Verde disco or Tia Maria bar. Bus on corner to Old San Juan. Reasonable rates and as long as you register double occupancy no problem bringing someone to your room.
Hip Arts Café in Santurce Arts District
Great choice for their coffee bar, 'counter-café' and frequent arts events. Award winner for best brunch in San Juan for their weekend 'magical brunch' with lines forming early. Friday nights jazz and many special events including Drag Queen Bingo.
Creative take on local cuisine near Museum of Art
This restaurant looks a little intimidating from the street, but they have finally started putting the menu (which changes weekly) in the window and attracting more business. Beautiful space with lots of art by local artists. Interesting menu with nice presentation and great fresh fruit juices. Across from Tia Maria and down the street from La Jirafa Verde.
Great coffee and sandwiches near Museum of Art
This is my favorite place for breakfast - great coffee and a sandwich for about $5. Open all day for traditional pressed Puerto Rican sandwiches and good salads. Very friendly staff.
Food Truck near Museum of Art
Look for the parking lot just beyond La Jirafa Verde and you'll find this food truck. Friendly chef and staff with creative menu of burgers, wraps and more. Its in the Arts District, so of course there is great wall art for you to enjoy!
Neighborhood Gay-Friendly Pharmacy
In the same building as La Jirafa Verde and across the street from Tia Maria - very friendly staff with everything you need from a pharmacy.
