And you thought Krispy Kreme was good!
Doughnut nirvana has arrived at the Chelsea Hotel. Second NYC location for Mark Isreal's mini-chain. You'll enjoy the doughnut pillow wall hangings and if you're like us you'll be blown away by doughnuts such as peanut butter & jelly and coconut cream--simply orgasmic!
Top Quality Gelato Without the Attitude
Not only is L'Arte del Gelato some of the best gelato in NYC, it is moderately priced for Manhattan. They are a bit skimpy at the Chelsea Market location and not as friendly. The servers at the W Village location are often cute and polite.
Best pizza this side of Vesuvius!
Authentic Neapolitan-style pizza in the West Village. They don't take reservations, but go at around 2:45 and there shouldn't be a problem. They close at 3:30 and reopen for dinner at 5pm. Ask for the Burrata pizza special--it really will change your life!
Super Tasty Cambodian Sandwich Anyone?
Try the Duroc Pulled Pork sandwich here just once and you'll be hooked. This small shop with a few stools upstairs serves six "classic" sandwiches like Hoisin Veal Meatballs and Coconut Tiger Shrimp plus 4 or 5 seasonal specials. With a refreshing watermelon juice or a Virgil's Root Beer you have a great meal for less than13 bucks! For dessert, meet a cute NYU student as you wait ;-)
Fabulous Italian in Theater District
We can certainly recommend the veal/raisin-filled ravioli with butter, pancetta, and sage as either an appetizer or entree. The fennel soup was also delicious. The service was friendly and efficient at this clean design restaurant near the Broadway theaters.
