Great place to chill in t's, tennis, caps and jeans.You don't have to be a complete leather head to feel welcomed!Not The best drinks but after a 1or2 it really doesn't matter you can strike up a conversation w/ just about anyone and have a great time!Some cruising and lots of sexual tension, but thats a leather bar for you! -

I've been chillen at the abbey since I was in high school over 10 years ago when it was mainly a coffee and pastry shop! I've seen its growing pains & watched it grow into an amazing Empire for the gay community to come together and celebrate our uniqueness!Yes there are snobs, rude waiters & bitchy bartenders& sometimes getting served can be a bit of a pain,but for every bad there is a great! I've found some of the most beautiful,talented,colorful people and experiences there! I'm so proud to know the Great Abbey grew in the heart of Weho as a gay bar where you can bring your straight guy friends & have confidence they'll be impressed & have a great time!I want to thank David Cooley the creator of the Abbey for inspiring a poor young gay boy from the ghetto to shoot for the stars! The Abbey is a must! Great drinks, OK food, beautiful surroundings! -
