I like Bradley's
I'm the person who just reviewed the bar. I do like it there. And I hope nothings bad happens there. I wasn't a big fan of Theresa, and she has been gone there for over a year now I think. But I notice things going in there now that didn't happen when she worked there. Sometimes people don't appreciate things about people that they should because it doesn't effect you. But it could affect the bar as a whole. Enough said. I wish the best for Bradley's anyway.
it’s ok
I remember bill as a bartender at triangle many years ago, and his best “ friend” Steve as a bartender at several gay locations too. Both seemed to me as nice people who liked to bartend. They opened a gay bar together called fluid , and it was very popular for the first 4-5 years . For some reason bill took over the bar , and the business did lose some business because of this. But fluid still does moderate business for many years when many other gay bars have closed. As for bartenders in a gay bar you should expect a “bitchy bitter one” because it is a GAY bar . And some people like to be served by someone like that in a GAY bar so get over it!!
Sunday funday
Make the sf eagle one of your stops on A Sunday afternoon or evening. Dress in leather gear that day. It's busy, cruisy with a variety of leather types on that day
neighborhood bar
It seems like this bar has gotten busier The last 5 years. Pool table, not too loud where you can talk to other people and maybe make a new bar friend.
gay institution
Keep supporting the stud by going there, and buying a few drinks. It's a Fun place where you never know how Your night will end up. Oh yeah that's another great bar too
small martini bar
Delicious martinis, small space can fill up quickly on weekends. I love Andersonville. Small independent businesses.boystown used to be like this 25 years ago. Not thrilled about the Starbucks in this neighborhood .
for conversation
Nice place to stop for a drink, and engage in a friendly conversation with someone. Near the center of Castro action.
frisky and cruisy
Go on weekends or special promotional events when there is a crowd. Avoid during the week usually pretty quiet.
coffee
Good people watching, convenient location in bayview where kk , Lincoln, And Howell all meet. Nice outside seating
not just a neighborhood bar anymore
It's one of the few gay bars that has gotten busier in last 20 years. People from all over the city come here for cheap drinks, good happy hours, and pool. 25 years ago bar was primarily a neighborhood bar for people living there, or cruising with car in area or in lording park.
no longer a gay bar
The heyday of this bar was back in the 1970s and 1980s where it was standing room only. Almost entirely filled with gay men. It has since last 15 years become more heterogenized. Weekends can have more straight women than gay men there. Bar has lost a lot of business over the years. But still gets a crowd on weekends and Special events. If I didn't remember what it used to be like I would say to someone that it was a fun place to have a few drinks, dance, and watch a drag show upstairs.
lots of ambience
Restaurant in mission area of San Francisco. Indoor and outdoor seating. Shows foreign movies outside on projector. Fun place to eat. Can be a little expensive for dinner with a good bottle of wine.
late night diner
Reminds me of the closed melrose diner in Chicago. Located in Castro. Restaurant is place where you can get a meal after you've been drinking all night in bars. Typical diner fare such as burgers, sandwiches, and salads. Large portions, reasonable prices, and eclectic crowd.
old school
Bar reminds me of what bars used to be like in 1980s. Friendly bartenders, frisky atmosphere, and strong drinks. What else could someone ask for.
laid back vibe
On vacation to San Francisco recently this was my favorite bar to visit. In back a jazz trio was performing with people who seemed to enjoy the music and the company of others there. It's not a gay bar , but from what I observed welcoming to gay, lesbian , and straight folks. Also cis , trans, and queer mix. Cool!
lost its edge
Used to be the place where gays used to dance the night away 15-25 years ago. Continually over years losing business in a steady decline. If you want a high energy dance club go 90 minutes away to Chicago. You have a half dozen dance clubs to choose from there. I wish the club would pick up business. It needs a mimi marks to spice things up
fun on weekends
Go especially during packer games. Lots of cute guys watching the game. Beer specials too
long happy hour
Strong drinks, cheap prices, good jukebox. This is it is one of the few gay Bars that actually has BECOME more popular in last 20 years
great place for breakfast
One of my favorite places for breakfast In Chicago. Huge portions, decent prices, and efficient service. For each order you get 2 side items. Choose the cinnamon roll as one of the choices.
frisky go go boys
Owners keep putting money into bar. Over the years it's been expanded, and remodeled. You don't see that very much in Gogo bars anymore.
fun neighborhood bar
Daily cheap drink specials. Friendly bartenders. Unpretentious atmosphere. Even serve complimentary chips at bar. The bar reminds me of what bars used to be like 20 years ago or longer.
lots it edge
I used to love going to little jims over the years for the cheap drinks, friendly Bartenders, and divey and frisky atmosphere. Remodeled. Sanitanized. Not the same. It's not sidetracks. Shouldn't pretend to be something it's not.
video bar
I've been to a lot of gay bars thru out the USA, but this is one of my favorites. Owners continually put money into the bar to keep it fresh and up to date. Clean. Modern. Sophisticated. Go to the roof bar on weekends
lots of action
Reliable, fun bar that has been around For probably over the last 25 years or longer. Really decent drink specials especially on Sundays. 2$ domestic beer specials.
closed for dinner
Still one of my favorite places to eat breakfast in boystown, but no longer open for dinner. Really good coffee. I need a good cup of coffee to start the day
good value for your money
Tasty burgers, big portions at a reasonable price. Fun crowd especially On weekends.
always a crowd
Best gay bar in south beach. Different Bars different crowd. Lower bar where Locals go too.
it's CLOSED
Bar closed for a variety of reasons, but I think the main reason why was it stopped having weekly drink specials, And wanted to be like city side in tampa. That's a hard thing to do in ybor.
fun Sunday t-dance
Go there for the Sunday t-dance. Nice pool, upbeat atmosphere, good Sunday drink specials. If you have too much to drink that afternoon, get a room there. Rest of week doesn't have the same energy and vibe, and not as many people there. Always a crowd for The Sunday t-dance
fun fun fun
Went there may 2017. Juicy burgers, tasty Mary Tinis , and spot on drag. Adds some needed nightlife to church In downtown orlando
mixed
Positive: really good drag shows. Reasonable drink prices. Negative: needs to put money into club and rooms. Needs updating entire place. Kind of dirty. The resort has lost a lot of business in last 15 years. But still is fun to go to on a Saturday or Sunday night. Just don't have real high expectations
empty restaurant on Saturday night
Only a few people there on a Saturday night September 9. Maybe it's not the place to go to anymore.
