Overall a decent club and solid drag shows, but doesn’t feel like a true gay bar imo. The three times I went, I’d say the crowd was 30% older white men, less than 10% queer women and at LEAST 60% straight tourists and bachelorettes who seem to think that the gays are only there for their entertainment...My first time here, I saw Jackie Beat, and it was almost embarrassing how rude and disruptive the mostly straight crowd was. As the only gay bar in Savannah, it’s not the best place to find and bond with other queer people, especially if you’re anything outside cis/white/male presenting. But, the staff is no-nonsense and the drinks are cheap, and if you go with some friends it’s a good time. Cover charge can be pricey.
