Two great reasons to be in Philly this weekend

If you happen to be anywhere near Philadelphia this weekend, you may want to hightail it into the metro area asap. Once there you’ll notice the gay quotient busting in spirits and numbers. That’s because two great events–Philly Black Gay Pride and Equality Forum–are right around the corner. First up is Black Pride, April 22-25, which features all sorts of fun stops like the Mr. and Miss Black Gay Pride and a spoken word/poetry slam.

As soon as you can snap your fingers in applause, Equality Forum takes over center stage from April 26-May 2. The week of events is a truly unique mix–featuring everything from a moderated discussion with Obama’s LGBT appointees to the massive Sunday Out! at the Piazza party with live entertainment and dancing galore.
