
Labor Day Weekend is fast approaching, and that brings one of the biggest parties of the year: Southern Decadence (photo above), in New Orleans. Parades and street parties are a way of life in New Orleans, and there seems to be a new reason every week to have a parade, but Southern Decadence one of the big ones in town. It is like the rowdy cousin of Mardi Gras, where hordes of gay guys (and everybody else who loves them) march through the streets of the French Quarter, in various stages of undress and inebriation, and then gather at the gay bars to whoop it up and just have fun.
