This small bar right across the Herron Ave Bridge from Donny's Place, is truely a "dive" bar. BUT it is SO much fun. There are the most ecclectic group of regulars and the bar's happy hour is always packed. They have cheap drinks and the best shot in town known as Rocketfuel. Everyone that goes there is generally nice and will talk to anyone. Might not be the prettiest group of folks but these folks will definately show you a great time. Paul and Norm rock behind the bar. For some reason the bartender thought that I should be making my own drinks and the pay and tip HIM. If he could just leave his laptop alone. Otherwise it was an okay place.. real small though. But just as I may go to a bar to enjoy a clean atmosphere, the bartender is the definitive force that will keep me comming back or keep me away. In this case, out of the two times I've visited, THEY will keep me away.

This bar is the center for drama in pittsburgh. While there are a few nice bartenders like Sprout to name one, it still has the same staff that runs the afterhours club upstairs and they are NOT NICE. If you are comming in from out of town, beware.. DO NOT leave your money and drink unattended on the bar. Even if you have to use the restroom for it will disappear. You will not find many different ethnic groups in this bar either as they only care for one group of people to be in the bar: pretty white boys.

Staff is rude and the people at the door are incriminating. It takes almost the entire time that you are there to get a drink from the bar (always understaffed). It seems as the owners knows that there is no other alternative to thier bar and can get away with the way they treat customers. ICK. AVOID.

This little bar is on Liberty Avenue. I absolutely love it there. The inside looks something very much of a New York City Martini style bar. They have a baby grand piano in the back and a VERY mixed crowd of gay, straight, black, white, old, young, tranny.. I like it because it is a nice place to talk and when it gets busy it is BUSY. Fridays have the best drink special in Pittsburgh with $1 coors lite bottles until midnight. It used to be called Sidekicks and no one ever went there. The bartenders seem to be fair and involved with the crowd and it is definately a place where 'everyone knows your name!'

The bar is awesome in size and great for a night out with a lot of friends.. The bartenders are cute and a lot of them new. The bar is open Friday and Saturday nights with Saturday being the busy night. Fridays are now Pi Fridays (girl night). Pi Friday Features DJ Adele and DJ Tanner. The Eagle is Non-Smoking on the first floor and has a wonderful dance floor on it's second floor. The Eagle hosts a lot of national stars including singers, dancers, and porn stars. Check it out.
