I was robbed by the security Staff of Twist

I want everybody to know what happened to me at club Twist on Washington Ave and 11 Street in South Beach FL. If go there alone or you are not from that area, pay Attention!!! On August 1, 2011 around 2:10 am while I was in that club, on the second floor, I was standing there against the wall drinking a beer, and that section of the club was almost empty, just a few people seating at the bar, a security guy came to me and took my drink off me in a very intimidating way and told me that I have to go with him. He called another of the security staff and they took me to a small room I was trying to tell them that I did nothing wrong, but they didn't explained anything. At the beginning, I was not actually scared because I said to myself: This is just a mistake... Once in that room, one of them searched me. He asked for my Driver License and I gave it to him. He told me he had to make a photocopy of it. Meanwhile I was telling him that I did nothing wrong, and that I was sure there was a way to clarify that I did nothing wrong but he just told me to shut up and that he was called by the manager and that the manager told him I robbed or was trying to rob somebody there, but he never explained details to me. He also asked for my wallet and took everything out: my credit cards and money. Then he told me to turn against the wall and searched me again and he also asked me questions like where I was from and if I was gay. He made me take my shoes off. Then he gave me my wallet back. He told me that he had to fill out some paper or form because I was not allowed to go to that Club again. I asked if he was going to call the police and he said: No, but you cannot come here again. And I said: Oh for sure I won't come here again because you are accusing me of something that I never did. And he told me it was the manager's decision after he saw me trying to rob somebody. Then he showed me the paper with the accusation. But I did not signed anything and he actually didn't tell me to sign anything. In the meantime I was putting my credit cards and money back in my wallet when I realized that I had $ 30.00 missing in my wallet. I complained to him and told him that there was money missing from my wallet, then he argued with me and told me that he gave me back everything. He actually only gave me back $5.00 in singles. I had a $20.00 and a $10.00 bills missing. I made sure I had all my credit cards, and after that he escorted me to the main entrance and told me not to come back there again. I went to the police station in front of Club Twist and explained everything that happened to me, but the officer told me that there was nothing the police could do about it because that was a private place and the Club can refuse to let me in there if they want to. Amazing!!!! I had been robbed and accused of theft by the management and the security staff of that club and the police couldn't do anything about it. So I went back to the main entrance of the Club and told the person at the door to call the manager. (some David, a young latino guy) The manager came with the same security guy and I explained all what just happened to me, and that I didn't do anything wrong and I was for sure accused by mistake, and that on top of that the security staff took money from my wallet. But amazingly the manager didn't pay much attention and told me that yes, he saw me trying to rob some of his friend's, which of course I never did and they never told me who that person was or anything. At this point I had nothing else to do, and it was a matter of my word against there word. So I left the place very upset not because I wanted to get in there again, but because what those dirty people did to me. But I realize that losing $30 and my reputation was meaningless compared with what those people were able to do. It is not worth to fight back for this insolence and lack of honesty and respect from all these people. There's nothing I could do to prove my innocence. And, of course after this so disgusting experience I would never go to that place ever again. Actually I was lucky, because I could have been falsely accused of something else or they could have placed something in my pockets and then call the police and destroy somebody's life. So, open your eyes, if you go there, don't go alone, or don't go there at all. Who knows if they use to do this dirty job to others or how many times they have done that. Club Twist is not a safe place to go!!!
