The Mile High Freedom Band has been around since 1984 and is the region's instrumental group for gay, lesbian, transgendered, bisexual, and accepting straight musicians. The concert band performs concerts throughout the year including its annual Halloween extravaganza, Spooktacular! Spooktacular! Join Freedom Swing if you prefer playing danceable swing, big band, and jazz music. Or bring your horn and march with the band in the Denver St. Patrick's Day parade and Denver's Pride festivities. The band continues to grow each year and challenges itself with new performances, fun and exciting music, and community events throughout the year.
