The wait is over: The nominations are in for our sister site’s annual Best of GayCities and this year the competition is fiercer than ever!

Today we take a look at the party-hearty nominees for the world’s best nightlife city: New York, Madrid, Buenos Aires, Miami, and London. Which captivating club capital do you think deserves the top prize?

New York
From the West Village to Williamsburg and all points in between—including legendary dance club Splash in Chelsea (above)—New York’s bars and clubs rage well into the wee hours.

Madrid
Centered on the neighborhood of Chueca, Madrid’s thriving gay party scene has helped make the Spanish capital one of Europe’s top destinations for queer travelers.

Buenos Aires
Be it in posh Recoleta, trendy Palermo, or tango-infused San Telmo, Argentina’s capital city has something for everyone.

Miami
Even nightlife’s a beach in Miami, where the hottest action pumps in SoBe nightspots like Score (at right) and Twist.

London
Gone are the days when London’s gay scene kept inside the cozy confines of Soho: From Vauxhall to Hoxton, you’re seldom far from a pub or party across the great UK capital.
