Great Piano Bar TooEverybody knows about Friday Happy Hour at Top of the Park. Packed with locals and visitors, lots of standing and modelling. Amazing views, airplanes flying so close overhead that you feel you could touch them. But the restaurant/piano bar at street level has its own following with a nice bar menu and entertainment beginning every night at seven. -

It's okTop of the Park is ok - course you do see an occasional "money boy" now and then - I heard someone say it was like Jurassic Park there ... but I guess we all will get there in due time? Friendly crowd otherwise. Not as pretentious as the other gay places in San Diego -

Great roof barThis is THE place to go for Friday happy hour. The bar has a great roof patio with wonderful views of Balboa Park, downtown San Diego, and the airport. The crowd is friendly and non twink, more middle aged, and good looking. -

Chatty sweater crowdThe good: Great vintage building, wonderful view, pleasant looking space. The not-so-good: very very chatty - not much cruising. A great place to go with friends, but not for cruising. The depends-on-what-you-want: Conservative crowd in the republican version of the latest fashions. No mystery or sensuousness, but possibly a good place for business networking... -

Best evening cruising in town.Packed, only one night a week (Fri) so not the usual burned out crowd of boozers, tweakers and posers.
