    Not gay-friendly after all

The advertised gay-friendliness was there at the start, but disappeared bit by bit until one of us overheard staff talking about our group in less then pleasant terms. Bottom line: despite its good location, there are other places for gay travellers to give their money to.

The best gay place in town

Had a fantastic time here - great staff and great people!

    Creative coffee and lovely lattes

Fantastic location in the heart of the beautiful old town, right opposite the Nobel Museum. The name means chocolate cup, but they're the biggest cups you'll ever see used to serve amazing coffee and chocolate creations. Food available too. Quite a few straight customers who just see a cute looking café in a great location. As opposed to the gay customers who see cute looking Swedes in a great location.

    Shopaholics of the world, unite!

The Harrods or Macey's of Sweden. Shopaholics will love it especially for the many Swedish brands which don't get exported much. It is also famous for being the place where the Foreign Minister, Anna Lindh, was assassinated in 2003. She was the second prominent Swedish politician to be murdered, the first being the Prime Minister Olof Palme in 1986. Anna Lindh's assailant was caught quickly and sentenced to life imprisonment, but Palme's murder remains unsolved.

    Just go there!

After buying a ticket at the entrance, you walk in to a massive, darkly-lit hall.... and then it takes you a few moments to realize that the museum's main exhibit is in fact towering above you. It's breathtaking. I won't spoil the surprise further, but just go and see it! Allow two or three hours - and enjoy the nice self-service restaurant with terrace overlooking the spectacular harbour.

Atmospheric place with great garden for breakfast

The Romantic is a fantastic old building with tons of atmosphere, great staff (especially barma John) and a nice shady garden. Good location in the heart of the oldest part of town and handy for bars, restaurants and the rail station (30 mins to Barcelona).\r\n\r\nAs this is Spain, and the building is old, expect some noise and for some rooms to be not 21st century standard.

    Location, location, location

For many people, Parrot's is THE place post-beach, but that's mainly due to where it is. Right on the main cruising route.

Barman remembered me from 5 years earlier!

Philip from Germany is not only a great host and barman - he even remembered me from several years before! Azul is a tiny bar but you'll have a lot of fun there.

    Great location and relatively quiet

Right by the beach and only barely two blocks from the nearest gay bar. Sitges can be noisy well into the early hours especially during the many local festivals such as Carneval, but this hotel is relatively quiet for those who need some beauty sleep from time to time.

    Agree about the buffet..

The brunch buffet is definitely a disappointment - but their evening menu is still great!

    Good value

Nice even if nothing spectacular. Excellent, attentive service though. Medium spicy may not be spicy enough for some tastes, so don't be afraid to ask for 'very spicy'!
