PHOTOS: Couples Rejoice In New Jersey On Their Big, Fat, Gay Wedding Days

New Jersey officially became the 14th state to legalize same-sex marriage, leading to one of our favorite things ever: photos of gay couples getting married. Check out some reactions from the Twitterverse and throw some rice at your screen in solidarity.

Silly. Lesbians don’t destroy fabric — their poly-cotton blends are far too sturdy.

– Sadie, Sadie, married ladies over here.

Newark had a fancy spread awaiting its expectant couples, who were to be married by mayor Cory Booker.

Aww, you gays. This was after Booker put the verbal smackdown on a would-be wedding crasher.

Oh. It’s being told. We’ll even overlook that boozed up misspelling.

– Cory was a busy man.

– But not too busy to offer a retweet.

– Jersey City, not to be outdone by the capital, had its own fancy spread.

– And its own media circus.

It looks a little more subdued in Williamstown where these two lovebirds said “I do.”

Hours after the first couples got married, Gov. Chris Christie finally gave up his appeal. But at least he could mourn his loss with some celebratory wedding cake.

Wise guys.
