Seattle’s sexy ‘boylesque’ scene needs to be seen to be believed

Burlesque is big in Seattle, where sensuality and eroticism are elevated to an art form by dance, singing, and body contortionism. If the artists on stage weren’t so talented, it would be easier to focus on the fact that they are also pretty sexy.

This new post-Vaudeville scene floats to different venues around town, although Re-Bar and Mod Carousel is one of the familiar haunts. Seattle’s “boylesque” performers range along the gender spectrum, but they all put on a provocative show, whether those smiles on the audience’s faces are from laughter or thirst.
