Jason is the lucky winner of Queerty’s Spring Break Giveaway, and all he had to do was Like Queerty’s Facebook Page. Jason, his husband and 2 buds will be dipping their toes into the pool at the Island House in Key West while you’re at home next to the fireplace, reading about it on Queerty.
Hailing from Kentucky, this 30-something gent is taking along his hubby Greg and his two church friends, one of whom happens to be fabulous drag queen Helena Handbasket. They’ll be doing lots of Jason’s favorite hobby, gawking, accompanied by resting, swimming, tanning, eating and beach combing.
While he’s thrilled at the prospect of a gay resort and beach vacation, this Lexington resident finds his home town extremely gay friendly and progressive, having an openly gay mayor, a fun bar scene and several thriving LGBTQ nonprofits. The state of Kentucky, of course, is far less friendly.
He’ll actually be coming back just in time to start planning his Gatsby-themed JustFundKY LGBT Party, which takes place the night before the Kentucky Derby.
