PHOTOS: New C&W Bar Flaming Saddles Rides Into Hell’s Kitchen

If you’ve asked yourself “where have all the cowboys gone?” the answer Monday night in the Big Apple was  Flaming Saddles Saloon, the new gay Country Western Gay bar in Hell’s Kitchen.  With red-velvet wallpaper and antler light fixtures, the bar celebrated its grand opening with an open bar, free pizza and bar hunks in tight jeans and boots dancing on the bar (not too surprising since the owner used to be the manager at Coyote Ugly).  Paige Turner, the dame of Ninth Avenue, was there—looking like Gunsmoke‘s Miss Kitty as she chatted with fellow queens Frostie Flakes and Kitten Withawhip.

But, you ask, how is a gay country bar gonna survive in New York City ? Well, you’d be surprised how many Good Old Boys migrate to the Big Apple—we saw more than a few do-si-doing on the hardwood floor.
