Burgers In Drag
I went with two friends for burgers and conversation. There was a bingo game going on when we arrived, which was loud but not so loud as to disrupt our talk. We were seated promptly and our food was delivered as ordered by a friendly server. Before the bingo game ended, a 50/50 drawing was announced to benefit a local charity; we each bought a ticket (and didn't win). I loved the decor of the place, and indeed, the whole ambience of the second-floor location in historic Ybor City.
Oh Really?
I went with two friends to what was supposed to be a hotspot. Not on Tuesday nights, apparently. While the bar was clean and the drinks were good, I should say that the friendliest person there was the bouncer at the door. The bartender was an ice cube, and nobody else talked at all. There was no entertainment. I have heard that it's better on other nights, but I didn't see it.
Lively Happy Hour
We stopped for drinks and stayed for a bite to eat. All the food evidently prepared from scratch, as things were brought out when they were ready. Clean as a whistle, friendly people. Everybody played Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune together.
Nice Piano Bar
My friends and I stopped in yesterday afternoon. Not a lot of people were there yet, but those who were were very friendly. Immaculately clean. The piano was actually being tuned, which I have never before seen in a piano bar. The only negative: they didn't have Bloody Marys.
