Beautiful but...
Overcrowded and expensive. However, the beauty of an old renovated market, as well as the quality and variety of products makes it worth a visit.
A true Spansih Bar and Restaurant experience.
Products from El Bierzo, a small area in northwest Spain. From the 'cecina' (beef cured ham) to the gilled vegetables, everything was mouthwatering. The wines are also a great experience, including the vermouths. Good for couples or even large groups (reserve ahead!). Not a gay restaurant, but the few times I visited there was always some clientele that I know I would later see around in Chueca, which is in walking distance - but then this is Madrid, one of the gayest cities in the world, and I love it!
Interesting space, cozy, arguably teh gayest restaurant in Madrid.
Not expensive, but not cheap, some business crowd for lunch, nice romantic ambiance for dinner. Good destination for singles, couples or small groups.
