Went to the Bonham because it was near hotel. I would NOT classify this as a gay bar; only thing gay about it was the bouncer. Too many str8 couples, I think we need to go back to our definition of "gay bar" and remove the Bonham as the example.

I have definitely been to some gay bars around the country that were more exciting to go to. It definitely has a "neighborhood bar" feel, you know the kind where everybody knows your name. I of course was the visitor staying in a nearby hotel and no one knew my name. I went on a couple of different nights. The first night no one talked to me except the cute guy with the mic...puppy I think they called him. Very few people in the bar, I doubt more than 20 different people in two hours I was there. the second night was fun with two hot guys in suits sitting at the bar. One whipped it out for his buddy to play with. A few guys from the night before and "puppy" was tending bar tonight. He did come by and talk a bit, nice guy, but never really felt at home like I have in other bars on the first or second visit. I would probably go back if in the area again. Unfortunately I missed Thursday night.
