Cash-only family restaurant open since 1932
With roots that run deep in New Orleans' history, Mandina's reflects the local spirit and flavors of the area. Not particularly gay, but satisfying nonetheless.

Tweetybird gave this placeBest Turtle Soup & Oyster or Shrimp Po-BoysPLEASE NOTE: Credit cards are not accepted here. Cash only. No reservations. Located in Mid-City area. This is a legendary New Orleans eatery. Been around forever-- even before air conditioning :-) Their po-boy sandwiches are served on the oh so fresh Leidenheimer bakery's French bread. Their fried oysters have no trace of oil on the batter, and the inside melts in your mouth. Free parking lot. Located on outer Canal Street on the Canal street car line. Or, drive, or take a taxi from the French Quarter. Worth the trip.First to Review
