Next to Lily's Pizza and Third Place Ccffeehouse. (See restaurant listings for Raleigh) Cafe is great for brunch, and has the best Bloody Mary in Raleigh.

    Great Burgers and Fries
    Just like the sign says.. "Burgers, fries, shakes, Pepsi" Several area locations, including one near downtown and NC State University Campus on Hillsborough Street. Order at the window, and eat at their picnic tables and people-watch. Open til midnight and later.

    Only if you want to be close to the bars!
    Old, remodeled 60's era Holiday Inn. Locals call it the "Hair Curler " because it is of the 60's style round design, with the pie wedge-shaped rooms. Adequate, at best. Skip it and splurge on the Sheraton or new Marriott City Center
