one of the best places to visit

I didn't get to spend as much time here as some of the other bars in the city which will bring me to my first and only negative comment. This bar is a bit off the beaten path if your staying near Bourbon St. Catching a cab there was pretty simple after Mardi Gras was over but during Mardi Gras with the crowds you would want to wait until later which by than you've already gotten settled into other bars. Now with that said if the biggest complaint I had was getting there you should know I loved this place when we finally made it. Super friendly staff and patrons. Cheap but very strong drinks. The upstairs bar is where all the action happens and believe me action happens. From a guy seated next to me at the bar naked who politely reached around to "welcome" me to new orleans to all the other patrons behind the little walls that divide the space between bar and play area. Sadly we only had one night here but when we come back to New Orleans this will be are go too bar.

    Whats done in the dark

Not sure where to start with Rawhide. This was another bar my friends and I spent a good portion of our time in during the week stay we had in New Orleans. Drinks are cheap compared to most places and stronger than most places. Considering I was here during Mardi Gras I'm sure it was a bit more crowded than usual but there was always a nice size crowd in the bar including the wed after Mardi Gras ended. half the bar is dimly lit the other half is barely lit and for good reason. Much fun is had in the dark. This place is not for prudes or people easily offended by sexual situations. Just going to the bathroom here will have you venturing into the dark a little and there is no telling what you'll see, feel, or taste along the way.

    a good time

Spent a good portion of my Mardi Gras vacation here and had a ball. Myself and 3 friends travel a bunch and somehow always end up in a club that features dancers but these boys are by far the friendliest. Some of the other reviews are correct Corner Pocket is a bit small and when its busy it can be hard to move around, there are some boys working here who clearly are on something, there are also many who are open to hanging out after shift lol. Those things can cause some to skip this place but if you can overlook those three things much fun can be had here. If you go try get there on a weekend and check to see if the back bar is open. That will usually be run by Cody he not only makes awesome drinks he is an all around nice guy.
