    Didn't want to leave...

As fun as a cruise may be, I was teased by the beauty of this beach area . I'd go back in a heartbeat, my visit was not long enough but good enough to leave a lasting impression.

    can't go wrong

upscale resto and lounge. Very good food/menu and weekends turn into lounge with dj. Great place to meet/mix with 30-50 year old professionals. Mostly a good looking crowd, some ladies, pretty good vibe. Gets packed at times, get there before 11pm. Recommended!

    prozac-muzak and retro

Retro Sundays are pretty good, however the front of the bar is music to suicide by (the "lounge") and in the back is the retro dj/dance floor on Sundays. Dress light even in winter, it heats up fast back there. No refuge in front unless you want to dig your eyes out with a spoon because of the "live" music.

    The Real Woody's

The most popular watering hole, meet up/pick up/ have fun place in Toronto. No, there isn't any dancing with the exception of once or twice a year but the clientele is very diverse from all age groups and demographics. Unfortunate Drag shows on way too small stage with too low ceilings for any choreography...even bad. Lip-syncing, dancing in the mirror style drag gets a bit redundant however the "best chest/ass" contests can get quite fun. Go to Woody's, you'll like it.

    freedj, great times

Our last couple of nights in Le Marais we went to FreeDJ. First night (Thurs the 21 of Oct) was fairly crowded with many age groups and great music. Service very efficient, music fantastic. Second evening (Friday) the downstairs dj was the best I've heard in some time. Great mix, great sound, excellent choice of music. We didn't want to leave but had an early am flight back to Toronto. Definitely recommend FreeDJ to anyone wanting to dance in a small environement. I'd go back.
