Terrible

I am truly horrified and I don't say this lightly. Arrived in Manchester for work from New York City and am staying down the street. About 45 mins in, I got the following, while being completely sober: "The manager has been watching you on CC TV. You appear to be alone and this isn't a cruise bar. We need you to leave." I can't say how embarrassing this was. Not looking for sex, I was trying to meet new people in a new city. I've been going to bars for years and this has never happened to me. I'm really flabbergasted that this can happen in 2014.
