New home, nice space
The Centre Gay is just north of the Pompidou Center, and it's fantastic! Welcoming people, a snack bar staffed by cuties, lots of literature pointing you to bars, groups, you-name-it. Sit and chat with friends, play a board game, meet somebody new, come in out of the rain ...
People-watching by the Pompidou
This upscale cafe/restaurant is generally pricey but has an excellent, inexpensive Sunday brunch. The books along the walls are for looks, not reading, though this spot is popular with the intellectual types. On the large terrasse, all the chairs overlook the Pompidou Center, and its central location guarantees excellent people-watching when the weather is n ice.
The Top
Best gay restaurant in Paris, made special by Christophe Moulin, the owner/chef/MC. He is an accomplished cabaret singer (his CDs are sold here) in addition to offering great food at an incredible price. And he tells jokes in at least 3 languages. (Some of them are even funny!)
