For the discerning traveler
Auberge du Vieux Port is in the heart of the Old Port section of Montreal and rates the highest in quality and service. It\\\\\\\'s a boutique hotel with a loft feel and highly rated restaurant. For extended stays they also have loft-style apartments located just adjacetn to the hotel. The location is still accessible to all points of interest.
Terrific!
Can't believe it hasn't been reviewed yet. This is a gem. This boutique hotel is great! I highly recommend it. Beautiful design, cool vibe, and well appointed rooms. Also try the restaurant Koko. very hip, Delicious and great service. It's located in a very nice neighborhood on the edge of downtown, yet very close to the village. Not gay, but VERY gay friendly.
NOT the Place to Stay!
If you're choosy about quality, as I am, do not consider this hotel nor listen to the previous reviews, as I did. Very dated hotel and not a 4 star as touted on their website. Yes it is clean, but if you're looking for a nice hotel, I would not choose this one. I would compare it to an old Holiday Inn before upgrades. Web access is very important to me, and their wifi access was like I was living in 1983. While being located in the Village near all the nightlife, it's pretty dicy outside the door. I would recommend looking at other hotels that are not too much further away, in a good neighborhood and much nicer, like Hotel Opus.
