    Great fun

They took a old 60-70s hotel and made it cool and fun. Our room was nicely decorated. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. There is a nightly service fee but it includes a glass of wine at check in, free snacks after 10 pm. The restaurant / bar is hopping with lots of people even on our Monday and Tuesday night stays. We changed our plans and are going back for our last night in Arizona.

Great eclectic ULTRA MODERN style hotel

We stayed at the Axel a few months ago for 4 nights. IT is a great Ultra Modern design. The center of the building has glass tread stairs and elevators going 4 stories up with a glass bottom swimming pool as a roof. IT is really cool. The rooms are also ultra modern and kind of spartan, but fun. Our shower was a glass enclosed space and the shower came from the ceiling and drained through the floor. There were dividers that blocked off areas. Our room had balconies with shutter/walls that totally blocked the light when closed. Fitness room on the top floor and additional pool outside. The continental breakfast was well stocked and reasonable. The crowd was mixed during the week, but very friendly. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly. The area around the hotel was not a tourist area but eclectic and felt safe. Easily walkable. But watch out the do not believe in good sidewalks in Argentina.

    Great place to stay.

An amazing place to stay close to downtown but in a quiet historic setting. Top notch experience from the pillowtop mattresses, beautiful antiques, comfortable and relaxed. Did i mention the gourmet breakfast.
