Best gay club in Vancouver

All tourists need to know, this club, not celebrities, is THE club to go to in Van. Clean interior with a modern lighting system. Awesome music. Possibly the best music mix every week in town (that includes all straight night clubs also.) Hot guys and everyone dresses well and looks great.

Fun

This place is not half bad. It could use a renovation and better (brighter) lighting, which would make it feel less 'creepy' (some people complain of a creepy atmosphere). The cover charge is silly but the music is fairly good (I prefer house but top 40 is okay sometimes). The crowd is older with a lot of bears. Not usually many hotties but is totally fun once in a while. I wish this place would be more like Woody's in Toronto (no cover, nightly best chest/leg/butt contests, and better lighting, cleaner, and more modern interior.) Overall, fun once in a while.

Fantastic

This place has great (house) music, hot bartenders, a clean atmosphere and is pretty awesome. Wish the layout was a bit different since it can get super crowded but totally worth going to. The best gay lounge (not a nightclub) in town.

Great Renovation

This place looks great after being fixed up. Good call getting rid of the hideous paintings. This place looks fab. Music is alright (ideally could be a bit gayer) and hockey on the tvs?? (This is a gay bar we're talking about right??) That critique aside, definitely recommend.

Not bad but why does this place smell funny??

This place serves it's clientele (older leather guys and bears) and it's not half bad (fun for a quick drink and some pool) but could use a renovation and some cleaning. It always smells funny inside (the way that I imagine bathhouses smell right after being soiled.)

Go to 560 Instead

Just want to let all of the hot tourists know that Celebrities is not the premiere gay club in this city, 560 (Saturday night) is hands down. Celebrities makes a fake line up so people have to wait even when it's dead inside. They have a large cover charge considering how dingy and run down the place is. They need to have a serious renovation. The floors are always super sticky. The bathrooms are gross. The lighting system is from another decade. The music is really blah....it's dated and they play the same thing week after week. (You can hear the same stuff on the radio.) The crowd this place attracts is also fairly dated (at least in terms of clothes and hairstyles.) This compared to 560 (5 stars) which has awesome house music, a clean atmosphere, 2 dance floors, modern lighting and the same cover charge!! (And the guys here are WAY hotter and everyone is well dressed.) That having been said, if you can get past how gross the place is, tuesday's straight night is actually quite fun.

I could barely sleep after going

Extremely hot. If you want to see gorgeous guys show you what they've got, go on a Wednesday. It's ladies night but a great atmosphere (like it better than a regular night.) The guys couldn't be hotter and great music.

Painful

This club is definitely run by people who have no idea what a cool nightclub is supposed to be like. If it was well run, it could possibly be cool but the DJ is the worst I have ever heard and the general atmosphere is stuck 15 years ago (but wasn't cool even at that time.) Guys are generally not all that hot. I think most gay people in Calgary know not to waste their time here and party in other cities.
