When we visited Auckland in September 2013 we went in all the gay bars along the K'Road and Urge was by far the best. Nice crowd, friendly staff and good atmosphere. If the bear crowd floats your boat then Urge bar is the place to visit

We visited this bar whilst staying over in Auckland in September 2013. Small bar, mixed crowd but not friendly. Preferred other bars on the K'Road.

We visited Rush several times during our stay in Wellington in September 2013. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Owners took time to talk to us to offer advice on what Wellington had to offer. Would definitely visit again when we are next in Wellington.
