The gay agenda is sweeping across America (and Canada! and Mexico!), and armies of gay men’s choruses are leading the charge. Their target: Christmas.
Each year throughout the month of December, hordes of melodic and merry men descend upon their communities, while wearing brightly colored vests, and dazzle onlookers with flashes of jazz hands and exuberant smiles. Tens of thousands of spectators will gaze in awe at these flamboyant spectacles, as the singers praise the glory of the Christmas season, although there may be a slightly sacrilegious joke thrown in from time to time. Just for fun.
The titles of the shows may reference “winter holidays,” and the choruses may sing a song or two about Hannukah, but everybody knows Christmas is the target. This is prime choral music season, and Christmas music is ideal for groups of gay guys to get together and jingle their bells. Sometimes they have costumes! And props! And cute Santa hats!

In all seriousness, gay men’s choruses make really good music. Turtle Creek Chorale in Dallas has recorded 38 albums; in 2018, the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus performed with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Symphony. Even the choruses that engage in wacky on-stage antics can still pull it together and throw down some serious songs. The gay men’s choruses in big cities like Philadelphia (photo above), Boston, and Chicago are all about the jazz hands and funny costumes, but they will blow the roof off of the building with their singing if they feel like it.
‘Tis the season of giving, and we have a gift for you: a list of every gay men’s chorus (alphabetized by city), or as many as we could find in North America, that is performing a Christmas/winter/holiday show. This list includes the “men’s chorus” groups that really are gay, even though the g-word isn’t in their name. But with shows like “A Queen City Christmas,” is there any question?
