Photos: The best pride outfits so far, part I

WorldPride in New York City will see crowds that could swell into the millions during the parade and closing ceremonies on June 30. But celebrations have been flourishing throughout the “pride month” of June with festivals big and small, and celebrants arrived wearing lots of rainbow colors and pride pink.

Dressing up in bright outfits is one of the most fun parts of celebrating the anniversary of Stonewall each year, and there have been some people who took “pride” to the next level.

Here are some of our favorite pride outfits during the June 2019 season.

EuroPride 2019, Vienna, Austria

EuroPride is hosted by a different city every year, and for 2019 Vienna was chosen to celebrate Austria’s legalization of marriage equality this year. Besides the parade and festival, EuroPride in Vienna also included the world-famous Life Ball, an opulent HIV/AIDS fundraiser with elaborately costumed performers and major celebs in attendance.
