You can bet that when The White Tower was constructed in Thessaloniki, Greece in the 12th century, the builders didn’t foresee the landmark making its way into a fight for gay rights.
But when activists from Good as You(th) tried to hang a banner from the tower to protest Russia’s homophobic and transphobic laws, police were quick to halt them.
So they did what any impassioned seekers of justice would do — gather 200 strong and swarm the Russian Consulate to show they mean business.
