Community Action Against Homophobia, organisers of the many successful rallies for marriage equality in Sydney, invites all friends and supporters to join us in raising our voices in this year's Mardi Gras Parade. Community Action Against Homophobia, organisers of the many successful rallies for marriage equality in Sydney, invites all friends and supporters to join us in raising our voices in this year's Mardi Gras Parade. The Parade's theme "Generations of Love" will be given the twist "Generations of Protest" in a nod to how we have gotten where we are today, and how we intend to continue to fight until we win full equality.
From Sydney's first Mardi Gras in 1978 to the 2012 ALP conference where 10,000 people joined Australia's biggest LGBTI-rights protests ever, demanding equal recognition in marriage, Sydney has a proud and impressive history of queer activism. Join us to celebrate this and keep our demands raised high.
Places in our contingent will be strictly limited (wristbands are required for entry to the parade) so please get in contact to get on the list. We need your number and email to stay in contact and get our group properly in place and organised for the night. Spread the word to all your friends, any supporter is welcome. We are asking for a donation to the equal marriage campaign to participate with us.
