[PHOTOS] Boise Pride was a drag spectacular complete with a pet parade

Boise Pride was a landmark event earlier this month, easily the biggest and best one in the festival’s 35-year history. The event’s theme was “Proud of Who We Are.”

“The festival theme also celebrates the unique identities of the LGBTQ+ community, including our identity as Boiseans and Idahoans, despite the anti-LGBTQ+ sentiments and laws in our state,” said Michael Dale, board president of Boise Pride. “The Boise Pride Festival theme states we can be proud to live in our city and state even if certain legislative powers try to make us feel otherwise.”

But while the group celebrated a new record for festival booth spaces and parade entries, the community showed the most excitement for the parade, a massive drag show, and a pet Pride parade and talent contest.

GayCities snagged several photos from Idaho’s biggest Pride parade, including queens and pups performing their tricks on stage. Check out our slide show below.
